Every Wednesday afternoon during the months of January and February at the Gypsy Hill Gym, middle school kids show up to participate in a structured sport or activity for the day to keep them active for at least an hour. This past Wednesday kids participated in basketball. Let’s take a quick look into a game and a couple of the players featured in the game. Some Wednesdays the kids play kickball, dodgeball, soccer or Wiffle Ball. This program is open to every middle school child that lives in Staunton, this includes both public and private schools.

So what do you think? Do you approve of Staunton Parks and Recreation using it’s resources to provide structured physical activity for teens afterschool?
